Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies that are necessary to operate Surfacely.

2. Cookies we use

Authentication cookies (essential)

When you sign in, our authentication provider sets session cookies so you stay logged in securely. These are required for account features such as saved audits and billing management.

Report unlock cookies (essential)

When you unlock a report on the landing page with your email, we set an HttpOnly cookie named unlocked-{auditId} so you can view the full report teaser in your browser. It expires after 30 days, uses SameSite=Lax, and is not accessible to client-side JavaScript.

3. Cookies we do not use

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Third-party analytics cookies (as of the date above)
  • Social media tracking pixels

If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

4. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Blocking unlock cookies means you may need to re-enter your email to view a gated report.
